Designed for high-performance mountain riding, the Float MtnPro vest avalanche airbag is a low profile pack/vest combo designed to carry avalanche gear, a few other essentials, and easily integrate with external equipment such as hydration systems or our BC link radios. Full front, side and back protection with 1mm of hard shell sandwiched between two layers of PE foam provide protection from trees, rocks, handle bars, or whatever else you might come across on your adventures. The Float MtnPro Vest has external shovel carry, secure dual side-release buckles over the front zip, articulated shoulders, and bigger pockets. Easy-to-buckle waist belt bears weight instead of your shoulders.

Preventing or minimizing burial depth is the key to reducing avalanche fatalities. That’s because the majority of time in an avalanche rescue is spent on excavating the victim. An airbag is designed to keep you at or near the surface, minimizing excavation time.
BCA Float avalanche airbags are the first airbags that are both affordable and easily reusable. A wide network of BCA-authorized refill centers provide unmatched service to Float purchasers. A small 2,700-psi (186 bar) compressed-air cylinder, single-chamber 150-liter airbag, and super efficient venturi system make the Float systems easy to refill, light and affordable. Simply pull the EZ Pull trigger to inflate the 150-liter airbag to stay on top of the snow surface. Trigger is located on right shoulder strap, allowing you to keep your right hand on the throttle. Does not replace the need for an avalanche beacon, probe, shovel, and safety education.
