The RST Pro Series Adventure jackets have become legendary amongst touring and adventure bikers everywhere, perfectly balancing price and performance to deliver one of the best textile motorcycle jackets available. From large ventilation points to CE armour, the RST Adventure Jacket is everything you need a textile motorbike jacket to be and more!

Now in it’s latest incarnation, the RST Pro Series Adventure X jacket has been designed with input from legendary Dakar Rally hero Mick Extance, who’s been covering miles and miles in RST Pro Series Adventure gear for years. If there’s anyone who knows what it take to make one of the best adventure motorcycle jackets on the market, it’s Mick Extance!

The outer constructions of the new RST Adventure Jacket consists of two different textile materials, bringing the best of both worlds to the RST Adventure X Jacket. The first is a MaxTex textile material, a high denier synthetic material that offers great protection with a comfortable, flexible fit. The second material is Ballistic textile, chosen to overlay the MaxTex at key areas. The Ballistic textile is densely woven using very fine fabrics that offer increased resistance to abrasion tears and such. In addition to using such hardwearing materials, the RST Adventure X Jacket is triple stitched in key areas with a coated, bonded nylon thread. The combination of these two textile materials ensures unrestricted movement in a lightweight construction with peace of mind that the jacket is capable of withstanding anything you can throw at it.

Hidden beneath the outer construction of the jacket lies CE approved armour, strategically placed to offer maximum protection in the event of an accident or a fall from your motorcycle when tackling trickier terrain. In the RST Adventure X jacket, the armour is CE approved to Level 2 and is found at the back, elbows and shoulders as standard, dissipating the impact energy and protecting the bones, tissue and organs beneath. The armour itself is constructed from a bio-elastane memory foam, maximising the comfort aspect of the jacket by remaining unintrusive to fit and feel which maximising the protection. Further to the CE armour, TPU shoulder cups are found on the RST Adventure X jacket, the same shared with different jackets in RST’s sportier styled leather jackets, offering further impact and abrasion resistance from the exterior of the jacket too.

Within the RST Adventure Jacket, you’ll find a fixed mesh lining, separating the rider from the textile outer construction of the jacket and creating a pleasant environment in which to spend the day. The inclusion of the mesh lining also aids in taking the jacket on and off, particularly in warmer climates. Rather than opt for individual liners, the RST Adventure X Jacket features the new RST X-Liner, an inner lining which combines both the quilted thermal liner and the SinAqua waterproof membrane as one singular liner. This limits the hassle of removing multiple different linings within the jacket and significantly reduces the weight of the garment overall.

Ventilation is important in any motorcycle jacket, none more so than adventure textile jackets like the RST Pro Series Adventure Jackets. New to the RST Adventure X Jacket, perforated panel ventilation can be found at the very upper chest, directing cool air flow into the jacket and keeping you cool as you ride. Like with previous versions of the RST Adventure Jacket, the Adventure X Jacket features large ventilation panelling to further increase the cool air flow into the jacket. Two large front chest panels can be unzipped and tucked away inside the jacket, revealing large block-mesh panels, driving masses of air into the jacket, a welcome feature when riding in warmer climates. In addition to the large mesh ventilation panels, two zipped ventilation openings at the upper shoulders as well as a huge zipped opening at the arms as well as a rear exhaust ventilation point, allowing the warmer, stale air to efficiently exit the jacket.

A hardwearing jacket requires a hardwearing closure system, which is why RST choose to use MAX zippers in their textile motorcycle jackets. These zippers can be found at the central zipper, zipped ventilation openings and the zipped waist adjustment gusset which allows for additional expansion at the waist areas to adjust fit and increase comfort if necessary. You’ll also find a 360° connection zipper at the inner bottom of the jacket, allowing you to zip the RST Adventure X Jacket into any compatible RST motorcycle trouser. For the best result, we recommend zipping into the RST Adventure X Trouser for the ultimate adventure motorcycle outfit. Adjustment points come in the form of the endless strap adjustment at the waist of the jacket and press popper adjustments at the arm, allowing the rider to adjust the fit and feel of the RST Adventure X Jacket and stopping the jacket billowing at speed when riding.

Storage on the RST Pro Series Adventure X Jacket come in the form of two large outer box pockets with roll tops to limit water entry into the box should you find yourself out in the worst of the weather. You’ll also find internal storage pockets too for securing your valuables when riding. Additionally, the RST Adventure X jacket comes complete with a rear map pocket, a large pocket designed to accommodate the storage of large documents such as maps, border information and more. Plus, the map pocket can be removed from the jacket for use as a waist bag, letting you take the important documents with you when on the move.
