Dainese developed what can be considered the life jacket of motorcycling. It's safety equipment that you hope never to use, but you should never ride without. The Dainese Smart Jacket brings Dainese's MotoGP experience to a standalone airbag vest that you can wear in a variety of situations. D-air airbag technology distilled down into a vest (sleeveless jacket) that can be folded and easily stored in a bag, top box or backpack. Wear the Smart Jacket over or under any jacket or outfit. Its sensors and activation does not rely on a specific shell to house the technology so you can wear the device with your leather street jacket or your birthday suit (not recommended). A complex algorithm recognizes when you're in danger so it can inflate the airbag post haste to protect your back, chest and vital parts; no tether to your motorcycle required.
Put on the Smart Jacket, secure its fasteners and you will be protected for 26 hours on a fully charged battery. The Dainese Smart Jacket uses seven sensors to analyze data at 1,000 times per second so the vest will be ready to deploy at a moment's notice. MotoGP airbag protection can now protect the common rider outside of the professional paddock.

How to Size Smart Jacket :

The Smart Jacket can be worn over or under any jacket. To select your correct sizing, just follow these simple steps:
- If you are planning to wear the Smart Jacket under your riding jacket, just measure your chest size first wearing what you will wear when riding (base layers, t-shirt, fleece..)
Please note: It is recommended that you have 5cm (2inch) of space between your base layers and jacket both on the front and on the back to leave the correct room in case of an activation. - If you are planning to wear the Smart Jacket over your riding jacket, just measure your chest while wearing it.
If your jacket has armour, please ensure they are in before measuring. - Once you defined the correct chest sizing, just follow the sizing guide below to select the most appropriate Smart Jacket size.
There is a reasonable degree of expansion in the jacket and it should fit under / over most items based on your standard chest size, the only variance could be over a big bulky touring jacket for example.
